Stump Job Checker FAQ

What should I put in the photo when I text Bob?

Include the whole stump plus something for scale — a shovel, a boot, or a soda can — so Bob can see how wide it is. If there's more than one stump, send a photo of the biggest one and mention the total count.

How should I prep my yard before grinding?

Move vehicles and outdoor furniture away from the stump. Mark sprinkler heads and lines, invisible dog fence wire, and landscape lighting so we can avoid them. Unlock any gates the grinder needs to pass through, and keep kids and pets inside during grinding.

Does the size of the stump change anything?

It mainly affects the quote. We grind stumps from 3 inches up to 8 feet wide. A larger stump means more grinding and more chips to clean up, but the prep steps are the same regardless of size.

What if I'm not sure how many stumps I have?

That's fine. Give Bob your best guess when you text, and he can walk the property with you when he comes out. The checker is just a starting point — the real count happens on site.
